What This Service Is
One Plant. Three Sub-Lines.
One PI Signoff.
XUDONG's Cavite plant runs a contract-manufacturing model that we don't pretend covers everything — we don't do SMT in-house. PCBAs arrive from three audited PCBA partners under our shared revision control, and from that point forward the unit lives inside our 12,000 m² Cavite Economic Zone facility: kitted, populated, harness-routed, system-tested, burned-in, and palletized for FOB Manila. The box-build line is divided into three named scopes that you can engage independently or as a single program.
Electromechanical assembly covers the mechanical chassis — fastening, harness routing, thermal pad and EMI shielding placement, fan installation. Cable and enclosure integration covers the electrical-mechanical interface — strain relief grommets, panel-mount M12/RJ45/Mil-Circular connectorization, conduit fittings. System test and burn-in covers the validation step — HiPot, dielectric, functional, and 24h/96h burn-in with customer-supplied test scripts.
The single-source advantage is real: the same plant builds the harness AND populates the box. When a connector pin-out changes, the harness drawing and the panel-mount layout update in the same revision packet. When PI questions land, one party answers. For programs that need overmold strain reliefs or custom enclosure tooling, our in-house mold shop builds the tooling on the same site — integrated with the parent group's mold library at xudong-group.com. For programs that prefer a separate harness feed, we accept inbound kit-out without drama.
Capability Set
Six Things The Cavite
Box-Build Line Does Well.
PCBA-In, System-Out
We don't do SMT in-house — PCBAs arrive from three audited PCBA partners under our shared revision control. Population, mechanical assembly, harness routing, system test and ship all happen at Cavite, so the PI signoff sits with one party.
Up to 1,200-Component Assemblies
Largest current build is a 1,184-component electromechanical chassis for a robotics integrator with 47 unique sub-harnesses, 9 thermal pads and a 12-fan thermal management array. Routine builds run 80–400 components.
IPC-A-610 Class 3 Default
All assembly operators dual-certified to IPC-A-610 Class 3 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3. Class 2 builds available at −6% rate, but the operator training is identical so we recommend Class 3 even when not contracted.
Cleanroom Carve-Out
ISO Class 8 cleanroom (32 m²) on the south wing of Cavite Plant for ISO 13485 medical builds. Garmented operators, ESD-controlled flow, and serialized DHF documentation per build.
Burn-in & System Test
16 burn-in stations supporting 24-hour and 96-hour cycles, programmable AC source up to 480 VAC three-phase, customer test scripts run via Ethernet or RS-485. Automated stat reports per serial number.
Tariff-Free Out of Cavite
HS 8537 / 8538 / 8543 finished assemblies ship FOB Manila under Generalized System of Preferences. A $50K landed cost from Shenzhen carries $12.5K Section 301; the same build out of Cavite carries $0.
Three Sub-Lines
Engage Them
Independently Or As One.
Electromechanical Assembly
Chassis-level mechanical fastening, harness routing, thermal pad placement, EMI shielding, fan installation. 5S-kitted lines and Poka-Yoke fixtures for repeatable build quality.
- Torque-controlled fastening
- Thermal pad & gap-filler placement
- EMI gasket & shielding strip
Cable + Enclosure Integration
Single-source advantage: the same plant builds the harness AND populates the box. Strain relief grommets, cable glands, panel-mount M12, RJ45 IP67 and Mil-Circular connectors integrated under one PI.
- IP67/68 panel-mount connectorization
- Conduit & gland routing
- Single-party PI signoff
System Test & Burn-in
24-hour and 96-hour burn-in stations with thermal chamber overlay (-20 / +85 °C), programmable AC source up to 480 VAC three-phase, customer-supplied test scripts. Automated pass/fail reports per serial.
- 96-hour burn-in capacity
- 1500 V HiPot verification
- Customer test scripts via Ethernet/RS-485

Production Flow
From DFM
To FOB Manila.
DFM & BOM Consolidation
Engineering receives drawings + BOM. We identify mechanical-fit risks, alternate-part windows, and consolidate the BOM across PCBA partner, harness internal feed, and bought-in mechanicals.
Fixture & Test-Jig Build
Custom assembly fixtures, Poka-Yoke jigs, and test harnesses fabricated. NRE typically $1.5K–$8K depending on complexity, amortized over first 2K–5K units.
5S Kit-Out
Per-build kits assembled in our 5S kitting cell: PCBAs, sub-harnesses, mechanicals, hardware bags. Each kit barcoded to the work order before it leaves the kitting cell.
Line Assembly
Operators work to a Class 3 work-instruction packet. Torque tools network-logged. Each station signs off on a traveler that follows the unit through the line.
Burn-in & System Test
24 h or 96 h burn-in (per program) with customer-supplied test scripts. HiPot, dielectric, and functional sign-off before the unit leaves test.
Pack & Ship
ESD-bagged, foam-cradled, palletized. MICT 30 min away, DHL/FedEx air or Maersk sea on FOB Manila. Documentation pack travels with the shipment.

Founder Note
“The right question for a box-build buyer isn't whether the EMS shop has SMT in-house. It's who owns the interface between the harness drawing, the panel-mount layout, and the test script. We built the Cavite line so that's one person on one floor — not a chain of vendor handoffs that eats your weekends.”

A Build We Already Shipped In This Lane.
Scenario
An Australian heavy machinery manufacturer requested quotes for multiple custom wire harness models but provided incomplete technical drawings at the initial inquiry stage.
Challenge
Missing critical specifications, including relay models, Deutsch connector models, and Hammond enclosure details, prevented accurate quoting and risked production errors for the 200-piece batch.
Outcome
Achieved full specification lock-down, enabling accurate quoting for 3 sample units and the 200-piece production run, preventing costly rework and material delays.
