What We Build for Robotics OEMs
FROM COBOT DRESS PACK
TO AGV BATTERY.
XUDONG Cavite serves robotics integrators and OEMs across Korea, Japan, Germany, and the United States. Active programs include collaborative robot dress packs (UR / FANUC / KUKA-class), 6-axis industrial robot harnesses, AGV/AMR battery and drive harnesses, automated storage and retrieval (AS/RS) cabling, and warehouse-automation conveyor strings.
Our drag-chain cells are tooled around Lapp Olflex Servo and Igus Chainflex high-flex stocks. We torsion-test sample harnesses in-house at 10 million ±180° flex cycles before any new dress-pack design enters production. Standard motion connectors are M12 (X-coded for 1 Gb Ethernet, D-coded for 100 Mb, A-coded for sensor / actuator) and M8 for compact sensor strings.
Programs route through custom wire harness for dress packs, waterproof harness cells for IP67-rated outdoor / wash-down equipment, and cable + enclosure integration for AGV battery boxes.

Buyer Pain Points
FOUR THINGS THAT KILL
ROBOTICS UPTIME.
Challenge #1
Premature drag-chain failure under field conditions
Spec sheet says 5M cycles, real life delivers 1.8M before insulation cracks. Maintenance crew opens the chain every quarter, robot uptime drops below SLA, you eat the warranty cost.
How XUDONG addresses it
We torsion-test sample harnesses to 10M ±180° cycles in-house before SOP — not on a coupon, on a complete dress pack with all branches. Lapp Olflex Servo and Igus Chainflex stocks specified by motion class. Field failure rate on validated harnesses tracks below 200 PPM after 1M cycles.
Challenge #2
EMC noise on EtherCAT / PROFINET drops
Servo drives inject common-mode noise back onto the network through the dress pack. CRC errors on EtherCAT, dropped frames, intermittent positioning errors that the integrator cannot reproduce in lab conditions.
How XUDONG addresses it
Separate routing layers for power + signal in every dress pack. M12 X-coded shielded with 360° shield termination at both ends. Cable assembly tested against IEC 61000-4-4 EFT and IEC 61000-4-5 surge before shipment on critical motion programs.
Challenge #3
M12 connector inventory crunch on greenfield programs
Phoenix Contact / Murr / Lumberg lead times hit 26 weeks during 2022–2023 chip shortage. Your robotics integrator is sitting on uncrimped stranded ends because connectors did not arrive.
How XUDONG addresses it
We carry $400K+ of M12/M8 connector inventory across Phoenix Contact, Murr, Lumberg, Binder, TE on rolling 12-week min-max. Authorized distributor relationships pre-qualified for direct factory ship. Greenfield programs unaffected by spot shortages in the last 24 months.
Challenge #4
AGV battery harness sizing without thermal de-rating math
An 80 V / 200 A AGV battery harness without proper conductor sizing and de-rating heats up in the cabinet, IR drop kills runtime, BMS faults trigger early because comm-bus wires shared a sleeve with power.
How XUDONG addresses it
We size AGV battery harnesses with a thermal model: ambient 50 °C, sleeve fill factor, conductor bundling, IR drop budget at 2% maximum. BMS comm-bus separated into its own twisted-pair sleeve. Per-program thermal validation report supplied with PPAP-equivalent package.

Anonymized Case Study
KOREAN ROBOTICS INTEGRATOR
(KOSPI-LISTED).
Customer: KOSPI-listed Korean robotics integrator deploying 6-axis industrial robots into Hyundai- and Kia-grade automotive lines and into Korean semiconductor fab handlers. They needed to dual-source dress packs out of an Asian site after their incumbent Chinese supplier hit IP67 leak failures in semiconductor clean-environment deployments.
We took over the dress-pack program in Q4 2023. Specified Igus Chainflex CF31 servo + CF7 control bundle. Re-engineered M12 D-coded EtherCAT terminations with 360° shielded backshells. Internal flex validation at 10M cycles. First lot Q1 2024. Through Q3 2024, shipped 4,200 dress packs across 5 robot models with zero field IP67 failures and 22% cost reduction year-on-year.

Igus Chainflex CF31 + CF7 bundle
Servo + control + signal in motion-validated stocks.
M12 D-coded shielded backshell
360° shield termination at robot end + cabinet end.
10M cycle in-house torsion test
Continuous + ±180° torsion, complete pack not coupon.
Separated power + signal layers
Common-mode noise from servo drives stays off EtherCAT.
IP67 strain-relief overmold
TPU overmold tested per IEC 60529 IPX7, not just spec.
Coiled + sleeved shipment
Bend-radius preserved in transit; warning label on every pack.
Founder Note · Mr. Fei Bo Hu
“Robotics buyers learn the hard way that most contract harness shops will quote against a stranded wire spec but build with a fixed-installation wire. Six months later the dress pack cracks and the integrator absorbs the warranty. We torsion-test the actual pack — not the wire, the pack — and we publish the cycle count on the data sheet. Buyers who once got burned recognize the difference inside one conversation.”
