US Box Build & Electromechanical Assembly
Contract box build and electromechanical assembly in Cavite, Philippines — connectorized subassemblies, control-box integration, panel & enclosure wiring, and final test — with a non-China production origin. This is electromechanical integration, not bare-board PCB fabrication or SMT; we wire, integrate, and test around a board you supply or we source through a partner. Built for US OEMs that need a China-alternative, tariff-resilient EMS partner with a documented non-China production origin, English-language support, and Section 301 / UFLPA-aware sourcing.

Box Build
Electromechanical Box Build, Wired And Tested.
Box build is where harnesses, cables, connectors, and an enclosure become a finished, testable unit. The Cavite floor is built for that integration: connectorized subassemblies, control-box and enclosure wiring, panel wiring, mechanical assembly, and final functional test under one program rather than spread across separate low-volume vendors.
Because the same plant builds the harnesses and cables that go into the box, the integration is tighter: connector selection, wire routing, strain relief, and test points are decided together. IATF 16949 process discipline and IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 harness acceptance carry through into the box-build inspection and final test.
Low- and mid-volume OEM programs are the sweet spot. NPI starts at one piece, and the first 12-hour RFQ reply states the assembly steps, test assumptions, lead time, and documentation path.
One Partner, Fewer Handoffs
Harness, cable, connector, enclosure, and final test under one program reduces the handoffs that slow low-volume box-build NPI and create finger-pointing at integration.
English-Language Engineering Desk
US engineering, quality, and procurement teams work directly in English with the Cavite desk — RFQ replies, DFM notes, work instructions, and audit calls are handled in English without an extra relay layer.
Lead Time & Logistics To The US
Cavite ships to the US by air and ocean freight through standard forwarders, with the PEZA export record, commercial invoice, packing list, and Philippine certificate-of-origin support your customs broker needs. We do not file your entry or set duty rates — your broker confirms the HTS classification and current duty treatment.
Comparison
Multi-Vendor Box Build vs XUDONG Cavite
Box-build buyers usually struggle with handoffs: who owns the harness, who owns the enclosure, who owns the failed final test. Running it under one Cavite program removes most of that friction.
| Decision Factor | China-origin / single-source sourcing | XUDONG · Cavite |
|---|---|---|
| Integration ownership | Harness, enclosure, and final test split across vendors, with no single owner for integration defects. | Harness, cable, connector, enclosure wiring, and final test under one program with one owner. |
| Harness quality into the box | Sub-tier harness quality varies and is hard to trace at integration. | Harnesses built in-house to IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 with traceability into the box-build record. |
| Final test | Functional test may be added late or skipped on low-volume builds. | Final functional test defined in the control plan with documented pass criteria. |
| Low-volume fit | Box-build vendors often require higher MOQs to justify line setup. | 1-piece NPI with pilot and volume tiers for low- and mid-volume OEM programs. |
| Tariff & origin exposure for US buyers | China-origin shipments are exposed to Section 301 surcharges on the affected HTS lines, and a single China source has no documented alternate origin. | When Philippine origin is established under the applicable rules, the affected lines fall outside the China Section 301 target, giving US procurement a documented, UFLPA-aware alternate source — with the HTS classification and duty rate confirmed by your customs broker. |
Program Process
How A Program Starts
The fastest way to qualify an overseas supplier is to make the first week concrete: drawing review, engineering questions, sample plan, quality documentation, and export assumptions. That is how we structure the kickoff.
01
Send drawings, BOM, photos, or a sample
DXF, PDF, harness-board photos, connector list, annual volume, target lead time, and required documentation are enough for the first review. A mutual NDA can be signed before drawing transfer.
02
Free DFM and material review
Cavite engineering checks connector availability, crimp tooling, fixture-board need, cable jacket, test requirements, and any overmold or backshell tooling. The first reply includes NPI, pilot, and production pricing.
03
Sample on the production cell
The first article is built on the intended Cavite production cell. Cross-section photos, pull-force logs, continuity, HiPot, and dimensional checks ship with the sample.
04
Pilot lot and control-plan lock
Pilot production validates operator cycle time, fixture repeatability, connector supply, packing method, and inspection sampling. The control plan is locked only after pilot defects and customer comments are closed.
05
Production plus export package
Commercial shipments include the PEZA export record, certificate-of-origin support, invoice, packing list, and traceability records your customs broker or freight forwarder needs.
Capability Stack
Box Build Capability
Connectorized subassemblies, control-box integration, and final functional test for low- and mid-volume OEM programs, backed by in-house harness and cable capability.
Connectorized subassemblies
Sub-assemblies that combine harnesses, cables, and connectors into a testable module.
Control-box integration
Control-box and enclosure wiring, component mounting, labeling, and routing to spec.
Panel & enclosure wiring
Panel wiring, DIN-rail and terminal-block work, and cable management inside the enclosure.
Mechanical assembly
Fastening, mounting, gasketing, and mechanical integration of the wired enclosure.
Final functional test
Power-on, continuity, HiPot, insulation resistance, and customer-defined functional or fixture test, with documented pass/fail criteria in the control plan. Burn-in or firmware load is run only where the customer specifies and supplies the procedure.
Documentation & packing
Control plans, FAI, traceability, and packing / logistics support for the finished unit.
Facility
One Philippines Floor, Group Engineering Behind It.
The Cavite plant sits inside the broader XUDONG group footprint, which spans tooling, mold engineering, and connector sourcing across Asia. That gives the Philippines floor engineering depth and supplier leverage while keeping production origin, labor base, export process, and customer-facing communication Philippines-based.
For a transfer program that balance is the point: close enough to the Asian tooling and connector network to retain engineering leverage, but with a real non-China production origin and an English-speaking interface for overseas buyers.
