US China+1 / Tariff-Resilient Manufacturing

For US buyers, China+1 is now as much a tariff and compliance decision as a resilience one. China-origin electronics assemblies can carry Section 301 surcharges on top of the base duty, and UFLPA — which targets goods linked to forced labor in the Xinjiang region or to entities on the UFLPA list, not every China-origin shipment — has raised the supply-chain-traceability bar for affected sourcing. A documented non-China production origin helps with both: when Philippine origin is established under the applicable rules, the affected lines fall outside the China Section 301 target, and it gives compliance a traceable, China-alternative source.

The production, final assembly, test, packing, and export documentation are performed in the Philippines, which gives US procurement a defensible origin file: commercial invoice, packing list, PEZA export record, BOM and supplier traceability, and Philippine certificate-of-origin support. Whether that origin changes the duty owed depends on the HTS classification and the current US duty treatment, which your licensed customs broker confirms at entry — we provide the origin evidence, not the duty determination.

The point of China+1 is resilience and tariff exposure reduction without a quality reset. The sample is made on the same Cavite cell as production, with the same crimp tooling, inspection gates, and operator training, so reshoring away from China does not mean a fresh quality risk.
